North Carolina, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorBrian Milco is a DevOps engineer with 15 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining servers, automating operations, and shipping software across Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms. He has progressed from application developer and solo product owner to CTO and now DevOps roles, driving automation with Ansible, Docker, git-based workflows, and custom tooling to reduce repetitive work and meet compliance like PCI-DSS. Comfortable both coding (C++/Qt, Perl, JavaScript) and running production systems, he’s deployed Raspberry Pi kiosks, migrated legacy apps and led small teams to modernize infrastructure. Based in Charlotte, NC, he pairs practical sysadmin instincts with a developer’s mindset and an eagerness to adopt new tech to solve operational problems. An interesting thread through his career is building niche commercial software (Crochet Charts) while simultaneously managing day-to-day IT operations, reflecting entrepreneurial grit and broad technical curiosity.
