Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrian Samson is a seasoned software entrepreneur and engineering leader with over 15 years of hands-on development experience and two decades of programming experience overall, who has built and scaled products from single‑developer freelance projects to a venture-funded startup with millions of users. As founder and President of Ten Forward Consulting and former CTO of Mobile Doorman, he combines pragmatic full‑stack engineering (mobile and web) with product-focused technical strategy and team building. He has led innovation and venture-build initiatives inside enterprise (American Family Insurance) and continues to architect compliance and data-integrated platforms as CTO of 13Now. Deeply embedded in Madison’s startup ecosystem, he has helped grow coworking communities, organized Startup Weekend for years, and speaks regularly at tech events—skills that reflect both community leadership and practical execution. Comfortable moving between code, architecture, and business development, he’s repeatedly turned early prototypes into market-ready systems and scaled engineering teams. Known for a self-deprecating “computer nerd / business phony” sensibility, he blends technical rigor with an entrepreneur’s appetite for risk and experimentation.
