Brian Stebar II

Summary
👤
SeniorBrian Stebar is a senior lead software engineer and technical team leader with over a decade of experience building scalable web systems and six years focused on site reliability engineering. He specializes in SRE, performance optimization, and platform architecture, with deep hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript across AWS and GCP environments. Brian blends infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and containerized Linux operations with pragmatic application development in Ruby, JavaScript and SQL to keep services resilient under load. His background spans startups and enterprise contexts—from Listen360 and Vitally.io to Equifax and Chick-fil-A Supply—so he navigates both rapid iteration and strict compliance constraints. Academically trained in computational science and computer science at Georgia Tech, he also has explored high-performance computing techniques (CUDA, MPI, OpenMP) that inform his approach to optimization. Based in Atlanta, he’s the kind of engineer who pairs systems-level thinking with hands-on coding, often surfacing efficiency wins that aren’t obvious from metrics alone.
