Top SchoolBrian Tuomanen is a PhD-trained mathematician and electrical engineer with a decade of experience applying advanced mathematical algorithms and machine learning to practical problems, particularly around AI accelerators and GPU programming. Comfortable across Python, MATLAB, and CUDA-C, he bridges high-level data analysis with low-level performance engineering to deliver optimized solutions. His background includes roles at Microsoft and IBM and deep academic work from University of Missouri to Western Washington, reflecting both industry and research fluency. Based in Bellingham, WA, he brings a rare combination of theoretical rigor and hands-on GPU/accelerator implementation experience that accelerates ML workloads beyond typical prototype performance.
