Top SchoolBrien Colwell is a founder and seasoned engineering leader with 18 years of experience building developer-focused platforms, mobile products, and data-driven testing systems from the Bay Area. As CTO and co-founder of HeadSpin he built a global device and media testing platform that scaled to enterprise needs, and he now leads BringYour to further blend human factors, networks, and data into practical products. He combines an EECS foundation from UC Berkeley with a creative masters background in interactive media, which informs a pragmatic yet user-centered approach to design and engineering. Obsessed with continuous release and rapid iteration, he treats instrumentation and feedback as first-class product features to accelerate learning. Equally comfortable digging into mobile code or architecting cloud-edge device networks, he excels at turning customer pain points into developer tools and observable systems. Outside work he’s an avid cyclist and digital artist, a combination that surfaces in elegant, usable technical interfaces.
