Top SchoolBronson Avila is an attorney-turned-software engineer and consultant based in Honolulu with eight years of engineering experience and over 15 years at the intersection of law and technology. He specializes in front-end engineering with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, accessibility (WCAG 2.0), and performance optimization, having driven migrations, testing adoption, and build-time improvements that materially sped development and reduced costs. Bronson combines product-focused implementation—such as integrating in-browser spreadsheet functionality that helped win a $400k enterprise contract—with security and compliance work, resolving vulnerabilities to maintain SOC 2 posture. He’s equally comfortable automating data workflows, deploying back-end instances for QA, and authoring team-wide best practices for AI-assisted development. A pragmatic problem-solver, he leverages legal training to produce clear documentation, technical testimony, and audit-ready deliverables for civic and legal organizations. Open to consulting and freelance engagements, he prioritizes impactful work in Hawaii while remaining available for worthwhile opportunities elsewhere.
