Senior🎓
Top SchoolBryan Dunkley is a Senior Data Platform Engineer with 11 years of experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed data platforms across cloud environments. He has led architecture and infrastructure efforts—building Terraform-based IaC to scale GCP to 70+ projects, multitenant dbt Cloud transformations, and cloud-agnostic orchestration with Prefect—to reduce complexity, eliminate duplication, and improve developer experience. His background spans streaming ETL with Apache Beam/Dataflow and Flink, real-time event systems handling sudden volume spikes, and production-grade pipelines for both fintech and ad-tech use cases. Bryan is equally comfortable mentoring teams and driving platform adoption as he is writing highly optimized, well-tested code. Based in Canada, he pairs a creative early-career background in VFX pipeline engineering with a practical edge in cloud data architectures. Outside engineering he’s also a licensed helicopter pilot, hinting at a taste for precision and high-stakes systems.
