Top SchoolBuck Baskin is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience specializing in controls, sensor fusion, and estimation for autonomous vehicles and biorobotics, most recently on vehicle controls at Kodiak after leading estimation work at Cruise. He blends C++ and Python expertise to build low-latency perception-to-control pipelines, having shipped production mapping and localization systems for self-driving semi-trucks and delivered the first commercial driverless truck at Starsky Robotics. Buck pairs academic rigor—a CS bachelor's and an ME master's from Case Western—with hands-on robotics competition wins and open-source tooling from the BioRobotics lab, evidencing both research depth and pragmatic engineering. Known for improving calibration and safety-critical sensor inputs, he focuses on robust distributed systems that keep complex vehicles operating predictably in the real world.
