Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolByron Sommardahl is a hands-on Fractional CTO and software architect with 30+ years of experience delivering production systems and 14 years of documented professional experience. He specializes in bridging business intent and technical execution, leading early- and growth-stage teams to build maintainable, observable platforms where reliability and innovation coexist. Over the past four years he’s focused on AI strategy and delivery—architecting agentic, embedding-driven systems in production (e.g., a semantic, intent-aware discovery platform for private equity using Gemini/Vertex AI and BigQuery). A serial founder and technical leader, he still writes core services in C#/.NET and Node.js while using AI-assisted coding to boost delivery velocity. He pairs domain-driven, test-first engineering with practical product instincts, having scaled orgs, taught CI/CD and agile practices, and hired and mentored dozens of engineers. Based in Nashville, he’s the go-to fractional CTO for complex AI-enabled SaaS, workflow automation, and modernization initiatives.
