Cab Cab
Lead Data Engineer
Canada
Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolCab Cab is a Lead Data Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building scalable, privacy-conscious data platforms for e-commerce and SaaS companies across Canada. He has led end-to-end data infrastructure efforts—from architecting Snowflake warehouses and multi-tenant AWS/Terraform deployments to creating DBT models and real-time ingestion pipelines using Kafka and Lambda. Known as an autodidact, Cab repeatedly designs bespoke tooling (CLIs, DBT-based APIs, proprietary monitoring and self-healing systems) that empowers non-technical users and accelerates delivery. He blends deep technical ownership with cross-functional communication, having served as the primary data engineering resource at early stages and a liaison for product and analytics teams. Outside work he relentlessly teaches himself new technologies, which explains his consistent track record of migrating and modernizing complex data ecosystems.
