Summary
👤
SeniorCaio Mello is a Staff Engineer based in Berlin with over 12 years of hands-on experience building and modernizing iOS products from concept to launch. He began with a C background and Objective‑C, adopted Swift on day one of WWDC 2014, and has led large rewrites, architectural overhauls, and cross‑platform iPad adaptations that improved app stability and ratings. Caio excels at tackling technical debt, designing scalable routing and networking layers, and shipping accessible, maintainable UI libraries while improving team processes and developer ergonomics. He’s contributed at startups and unicorns alike—from single‑developer projects to distributed teams at Carta and Sendwave—and is known for turning messy codebases into sustainable, well-tested products. A pragmatic advocate for asynchronous written communication and better development practices, he combines deep platform expertise with a focus on developer experience.
