Top SchoolCalum Bird is a founder and AI-focused engineering leader with nine years of experience building secure, production-ready systems from Victoria, BC. He launched and now leads Trelent, delivering hardened AI services and Zero Data Retention agreements for highly regulated North American teams. Calum combines hands-on software craftsmanship (C#, .NET, SQL, web) with practical product and security engineering to turn complex compliance needs into usable AI offerings. As an independent consultant he has performed core technical diligence on multiple $1B+ AI M&A deals, bridging due diligence, architecture, and risk assessment. Previously he funded his studies and sharpened his full-stack skills through web agencies and early startups, learning fast from both successes and failed ventures. Curious and pragmatic, he focuses on making AI safe and auditable rather than merely novel.
