Senior🎓
Top SchoolCameron Shorter is a technical writer and systems-minded analyst with 16 years of experience translating complex engineering, geospatial and hardware systems into clear documentation and actionable architecture. He combines lessons from defence-grade process and quality control with startup agility and open-source collaboration to help organisations scale products and communities. At Google he led Chromebook manufacturer docs and systems engineering practices to manage hundreds of product variants, and he has advised government and industry on national geodetic upgrades and web mapping portals. Comfortable leading teams and shaping processes, he also produces white papers and developer-facing materials that drive adoption and standards change. Based in Sydney, he brings a rare mix of hands-on systems engineering, business analysis, and community-building across geospatial, clean energy, and standards domains. A detail-oriented communicator, he often uncovers cross-organisational gaps—such as misaligned mapping standards—and turns them into durable technical solutions.
