Camilo De Azevedo is a software engineer from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil with eight years of experience building full-stack, cloud-ready production systems and a 6+ year senior track record. He has shipped web and backend solutions across startups and education institutions, currently at Droplet, and previously at Buzzlabs and several Brazilian edtech and fintech ventures. A polyglot developer, he has contributed to open-source hackathon repos like he4rtoberfest using Clojure, Java, JavaScript and Elixir, and has worked with niche stacks such as OCaml/Reason and Revery for native UIs. He founded Universidade Livre Brasileira to curate Portuguese open-source academic curricula, reflecting a commitment to developer education and community growth. Comfortable in both startup scrums and academic settings, he blends hands-on implementation with curriculum design and mentorship. That mix of diverse language fluency, OSS contributions, and education-focused leadership makes him particularly effective at translating complex concepts into practical, teachable systems.
