Top SchoolCarl Green is a pragmatic software engineer with 12 years of professional experience, currently building systems at around from his base in Wellington, New Zealand. He brings a strong backend foundation from a decade at Red Rock Consulting working with Java EE, C++, SQL/PLSQL and build/SCM tooling, and pairs that with recent work spanning big and small data challenges. A BSc(Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Otago underpins a pragmatic approach to engineering tradeoffs—favoring the right tool for the job whether it's high-throughput pipelines or slower, correctness-focused systems. Known for a dry, curious sense of humor about language choices, he’s comfortable across legacy and modern stacks and often plays the integrator role between code, databases and build infrastructure. He focuses on reliably shipping maintainable solutions and quietly keeping complex systems running well behind the scenes.
