Senior🎓
Top SchoolCarlos Brandt is a Software Architect with 16 years of experience designing data pipelines, parallel algorithms, and database models for astronomical and geo-spatial applications. He blends hands-on engineering—building storage, processing and publication services for planetary and remote-sensing data—with teaching experience as a data engineering and data science lecturer. Comfortable across the full data stack, he has deployed distributed systems early (including early Docker-based services), optimized scientific workflows, and mentors students and colleagues to raise team capability. Based in Bremen, he brings a research-rooted perspective from a PhD in Astrophysics to practical production tooling, often surfacing advanced topics like containers, OS internals and cloud platforms to broaden operational thinking.
