Top SchoolCarlos Castellanos is a development team lead based in Spain with over a decade of hands-on experience spanning backend engineering, DevOps, and leadership across startups and enterprise environments. Currently leading development at XING, he has progressed from senior backend roles to CTO and technical lead positions, consistently shipping resilient, cloud-native services. He programs primarily in Ruby, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript and blends pragmatic engineering with operational ownership—often wearing both developer and DevOps hats on the same day. His background includes founding and consulting roles where he architected AWS-backed systems and mentored teams through scaling challenges. Colleagues would describe him as a pragmatic problem-solver who favors shipping well-tested, observable systems over perfect designs.
