Top SchoolCarlos Galo is a software engineer with nine years of experience building reliable systems across mobile, backend, and embedded domains, currently improving product quality and development velocity for GPay and Wallet at Google. He has deep experience in Android system/kernel work and subscription/payment backend services from roles at Google and Square, blending low-level engineering with product-focused API design. Carlos moves between technologies comfortably—from React and TypeScript for tooling to C#, Python, PowerShell, and PostgreSQL for automation and data work—while maintaining rigorous testing and on-call responsibility. He has a track record of reducing risk and fraud in high-value payment flows and of shipping developer-facing tools that simplify configuration for IoT devices. Based in Mountain View, he combines analytical rigor from his computer engineering education with hands-on operational discipline cultivated through on-call rotations and security-focused internships. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic: he balances careful systems design with rapid iteration to keep mission-critical services running smoothly.
