Senior🎓
Top SchoolCarlos Marchena is an independent technologist and educator based in Madrid who combines a decade of risk, compliance, and legal expertise with hands-on web and data skills to democratize digital access for excluded communities. He founded and runs Sprint With Carlos while volunteering with organizations like Fundación Altius, Madrid For Refugees, Homeless Entrepreneur, and MigraCode to teach low-code, Python, UX and data science to learners often left out of mainstream tech. Previously a Head of Compliance at Zurich and founder of a risk consultancy, he brings rigorous project management, regulatory insight, and a design-thinking approach to building people-centered digital solutions. Trained across law, digital marketing and full-stack/mobile web development (Udacity, Free Code Camp, IE), he blends policy fluency with practical product and e-learning design. He is driven not by assimilation but by reclaiming voice and dignity through open source, civic tech and collective learning. An uncommon strength is his ability to translate complex compliance and legal constraints into accessible training and low-code tooling that scales community impact.
