Summary

Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolCarol Gunby is a senior UX writer and content designer with 12 years of experience shaping developer and product documentation at scale, currently working on Google Beam. She blends API and developer docs expertise (Python code samples, API references) with hands-on UX copy, content strategy, and documentation tooling—having migrated multiple sites to MkDocs/Jekyll and implemented Vale prose linting to streamline editorial workflows. At YouTube she was the first writer on staff, built localization processes that dramatically reduced engineering hours, and cut support email volume tenfold by rethinking help content. Comfortable managing small teams and partnering with engineers, she has a rare mix of product, developer, and localization experience informed by formal training in UX design and e-learning. An often-overlooked strength is her background in applied mythology and permaculture, which surfaces in thoughtful information architecture and sustainable content systems.
