Top SchoolCasey Peel is a Principal Solutions Engineer based in Seattle with 11 years of senior engineering leadership and two decades of hands-on systems experience driving performance, reliability, and cloud cost optimization. He blends deep technical skill as an individual contributor with proven people and project leadership, having led cross-functional teams to deliver SaaS products, satellite ground systems, and large-scale database performance POCs. Casey has a track record of translating strategic goals into measurable outcomes—saving $2M/year in AWS costs at Invitae, stabilizing critical LIMS infrastructure, and shipping a SaaS proof-of-concept to market in four months. He excels at meeting teams where they are to close technical, process, and communication gaps, and brings system-level thinking to thorny infrastructure and performance challenges. An outspoken advocate for workplace equity and an openly gay “nerdy tech guy,” he pairs technical rigor with a commitment to inclusive teams.
