Top SchoolCătălin Dogaru is a Principal Software Development Engineer with 13 years of experience blending software engineering and visual design to drive product vision, prototyping, and technical design. Currently at Zscaler after joining via an acquisition, he has a track record of taking projects from good to great—moving between founding engineer roles, consultancy, and senior engineering leadership. Comfortable across the full web stack, he pairs an INTJ’s strategic thinking with hands-on prototyping and a strong focus on user-facing polish. He’s also entrepreneurial, having co-founded a gallery and served as a tech advisor and limited partner for early-stage ventures. Based in Madrid with an MSc in Computer Science from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, he values freedom, creativity, curiosity and consistent, service-oriented leadership. An unusual strength is his background in visual design, which he leverages to bridge product vision and engineering execution.
