Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolCecil Zorg is a seasoned software development manager and senior PHP developer with 11+ years of experience designing scalable backend systems and leading multidisciplinary teams across e-commerce, payments, and identity platforms in the Netherlands. He combines deep MySQL/MariaDB expertise (Galera clusters, Percona) with practical DevOps and API-first design, repeatedly delivering migration strategies, high-availability infrastructure and microservice architectures. Known for turning complex business processes into actionable roadmaps, he’s worked on high-concurrency problems at Mollie and built company-wide data access and ETL solutions as Head of Data Engineering at Helloprint. Comfortable both managing stakeholders and diving into code, Cecil favors separation of concerns and pragmatic performance tuning over premature complexity. An enthusiastic collaborator who often pairs security-minded thinking with hands-on database optimization, he brings a “quality over quantity” ethos to long-running projects.
