Cécile Hannay is an Associate Scientist at NCAR’s Climate and Global Dynamics Laboratory with over a decade of experience in atmospheric modeling and predictability. As liaison to the Atmospheric Model Working Group she supports the CESM/CAM community on model setup, experiment design, and diagnostic evaluation, and plays a central role in CAM development and tuning. She develops and maintains the widely used AMWG diagnostics package that streamlines comparisons between CAM simulations and observations, and routinely evaluates new parameterizations and their system-wide interactions. A dedicated educator since 2010, she organizes and teaches the CESM summer tutorial both onsite and internationally, bringing deep practical expertise to new users. Based in Boulder, she combines long-term research experience with hands-on tool development and community support, bridging model development and operational use.
