Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolCezar Mocan is a multidisciplinary software engineer with 14 years of experience blending creative technology and production-grade engineering from Lisbon. Trained in computer science at Yale and in interactive media at NYU’s ITP, he moves fluidly between Javascript-heavy frontend work, creative coding (openFrameworks), and real-time engines like Unreal. Early internships at Palantir, Twitter and Google show deep exposure to customer-facing products, infrastructure and security-focused tooling, while later work emphasizes interactive, experimental projects. He combines a maker’s sensibility—calling himself an artist & programmer on GitHub—with rigorous product delivery, often shipping UI-first features and visualization tools for complex domains such as energy simulations. Known for translating research and art-tech prototypes into polished applications, he thrives at the intersection of design, systems, and user-facing engineering. Colleagues would note his rare mix of algorithmic pedigree, hands-on frontend craft, and a studio practice that informs novel technical solutions.
