Senior🎓
Top SchoolChad Upton is a pragmatic technology leader and Head of Engineering/CTO with 11+ years of hands-on experience building resilient, secure cloud platforms and scaling engineering organizations. He has a track record of turning platform modernization and SRE practices into business outcomes—driving releases from bi-weekly to 100+ monthly, improving uptime to 99.998%, and reducing incident MTTR by 90%. Chad blends product-minded engineering with strong security and compliance chops (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, DevSecOps), while also enabling new revenue through data warehouses and partner APIs. He grows teams deliberately—scaling infrastructure orgs from solo contributors to 15+ engineers—and coaches leaders to adopt AI-augmented workflows for planning, debugging, and automation. Based in Bradenton, FL, he pairs a relentless curiosity for how things work with a bias for iterative delivery, valuing speed and user experience over perfection.
