Senior🎓
Top SchoolChaitanya Baranwal is a software engineer with eight years of experience building reliable, user-centered payment infrastructure at Stripe, where he has helped design systems that process billions annually and improve dispute and refunds workflows. He has led high-impact refactors that cut external API calls by 75%, reduced refund failures by 50%, and recovered millions for merchants through features like dispute arbitration and integrated refunds. Comfortable across API design, fraud prevention, and payments orchestration, he combines systems thinking with a strong focus on predictable, intuitive developer experiences. Outside Stripe, he’s led healthtech projects—most notably a deployed EHR serving a refugee clinic—which shaped his conviction that understanding users is as important as technical design. He mentors engineers, has contributed to large cross-functional API governance at Stripe, and brings a pragmatic, impact-driven approach to complex distributed systems.
