Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolCharis Rooda is a multidisciplinary front-end developer and event organiser with over a decade of freelance experience, currently running Charismagic and organising SmashingConf events worldwide. She blends pixel-perfect HTML/CSS and semantic templates with practical agency workflows—bug trackers, version control and agile processes—while preferring to leave heavy JavaScript to specialists. Founder of Webconf.asia and a longtime curator of speaker programs, she excels at event UX and speaker curation, having produced conferences and workshops across Amsterdam, Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco, Freiburg and Antwerp. Comfortable working remotely and in distributed teams, she brings a designer’s sensibility from her graphic-design education alongside hands-on front-end craft. Expect a collaborator who pairs meticulous front-end delivery with a knack for creating thoughtful event experiences.
