Top SchoolCharles Blouin is a mechanical engineer and entrepreneur with 11 years of experience as co-founder and president of Tyto Robotics (formerly RCbenchmark), the market leader in motor and propeller testing equipment for UAVs. He combines hands-on expertise in hardware (mechanical design, PCB) and software (C#, C++, Python, embedded systems, multithreading) with company-wide leadership across product, production, sales and operations. His master's work on optimal control and a sustained hobby in reinforcement learning inform experiments in legged robotics and neural-network‑controlled robots showcased on his GitHub. Charles has taken products from concept to customer deployment, led multi-discipline teams, and secured institutional funding and multiple startup awards. Early research experience in aerial vehicles and wind-energy publications gives him a rare blend of academic rigor and commercial product delivery. Based in Gatineau, Quebec, he balances technical curiosity with entrepreneurial grit and a knack for translating control theory into practical UAV test systems.
