Senior🎓
Top SchoolChenfeng Tu is a Senior Algorithm Engineer with nine years of experience building perception and localization systems for autonomous driving and robotics. He has driven production-grade computer vision and SLAM work at Apple Maps and now applies that expertise to edge AI at Horizon Robotics. Trained at Carnegie Mellon and Peking University, Chenfeng blends academic rigor in robot perception and sensor calibration with hands-on system design from internships at Intel to research roles modeling driving behavior. He is comfortable moving algorithms from research prototypes to real-world platforms, particularly Lidar SLAM, visual localization, and online sensor calibration. Based in Sunnyvale, he combines a principled research mindset with product-focused delivery and a personal philosophy—“be yourself”—that hints at a preference for original, practical solutions.
