Top SchoolChi-hao Lay is a Finland-based software developer with eight years of hands-on experience building and maintaining reliable web applications and production systems. He co-founded and served as CTO at Collateral Solutions, where he led development of Evoir using Django and Next.js and handled API integrations and AWS deployments. Now a consultant at Futurice’s Managed Services, he is technology-agnostic and prioritizes stability, quality, and reducing technical debt in live systems. With an academic background in computer science from Tampere University and a track record of end-to-end projects—from freelancing booking systems to university-tied product work—he blends entrepreneurial drive with disciplined engineering. Fluent in Finnish and shaped by Vietnamese-Chinese roots, he brings cultural breadth and a creative streak—he plays guitar and does theatre—that surfaces in collaborative, user-focused problem solving.
