Top SchoolChihong Chen is an R&D software engineer based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with 8 years of experience spanning deep learning research, Linux system administration, and cloud-native backend development. He holds a master's in electronic engineering where he focused on deep learning with TensorFlow and Keras, and his early background in computer networks gives him practical knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs and routing. At Wistron he builds RESTful services and event-driven systems using Spring Boot/Quarkus, Kafka, EMQX and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD), pairing CI/CD and container best practices. Past roles include managing campus Linux infrastructure—designing resilient backup strategies with NFS/rsync and improving mail trust with certbot—and interning on VMware and ELK deployments. Comfortable bridging research and production, he combines Java-centric development with hands-on ops skills and an appetite for continuous learning through conferences and community activities. An understated strength is his knack for pragmatic system hardening and backup design born from real-world admin responsibilities.
