Top SchoolChris Cheshire is a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience building scalable, extensible web applications across startups, government and enterprise. He combines pragmatic problem-solving with strong communication, having led greenfield projects at DEFRA to production-grade identity and user-management platforms and recruited and mentored engineers as a technical lead. As founder of Chrift Digital he builds product-driven SaaS and AI tooling—examples include Neru (RAG-powered generative AI for regulators), Brickpal and several data-driven automation platforms—demonstrating an ability to move from idea to deployed service. His stack fluency spans Node.js, Next.js, Typescript, MongoDB/Postgres, cloud platforms and search technologies, and he brings disciplined practices like TDD/BDD and monorepos to complex codebases. Known for preferring simple solutions to thorny business problems, he balances long-term maintainability with rapid shipping and operational reliability. Based in Poole, UK, he pairs a BSc in Business Information Technology with a history of shipping high-quality systems that bridge technical depth and product needs.
