Top SchoolChris Hodgson is a pragmatic lead developer with 20+ years in software and a recent focus on building microservices with TypeScript, Node (Lambda) and AWS. He combines hands-on delivery with people leadership, having grown motivation and productivity across UK and offshore teams while owning design, quality and reliability. Chris has repeatedly designed and shipped services (marketplace, discounts, gift cards, banners) that improved business processes at scale for fast-moving retail environments. Comfortable across stacks, he evolved from PHP/Symfony and Progress 4GL to modern serverless architectures and CI/CD practices. An effective communicator and mentor, he excels at translating product needs into high-level designs and practical roadmaps. Unusually for a senior developer, his background in biology and information systems underpins a methodical, systems-thinking approach to software problems.
