Summary
👤
SeniorChris Shepherd is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with 11 years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems across startups and major tech firms, now at Google after senior roles at Cloudflare and Curve. He combines strong backend engineering (Go, Java, microservices, Kubernetes/Istio) with on-call SRE practice to ensure highly available, production-grade services. Chris has shipped consumer-facing features like Curve Cash and published two mobile apps with over 12,000 users, showing an ability to move from architecture to product adoption. His background in game programming and indie game development informs a pragmatic full-stack curiosity—he describes himself as a “full stack noodler.” Comfortable across legacy monoliths and cloud-native stacks, he brings a proven track record of shipping complex projects in Agile teams. Based in London, he pairs deep technical craft with a habit of exploring side projects and new technologies.
