Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolChris Smith is an Enterprise Architect with a decade of experience designing and operating cloud and infrastructure platforms, currently driving architecture at MapLarge from Alexandria, VA. He built and led site reliability efforts at Decipher, scaling SRE practices, KPIs, and a team that supported multi-tenant Kubernetes and OpenShift environments used daily by dozens of customers. His background spans hands-on DevOps—authoring Helm charts and automating deployments for service mesh platforms—to systems and test engineering at Lockheed Martin, where he developed tooling and interactive dashboards to streamline release and test workflows. Chris pairs systems engineering rigor (MS, Systems Engineering) with electrical/computer engineering fundamentals (BS, Auburn) to bridge complex operational needs and cost-optimized cloud transitions. He has a track record of turning manual data-processing tasks into automated pipelines that cut timelines from days to hours, and he favors repeatable, observable infrastructure as the foundation for reliable services.
