Top SchoolChris Vaughn is a pragmatic technology leader and Head of Architecture with two decades of software engineering experience and a 15-year tenure driving platform evolution at YouVersion. He built the company’s architecture practice from the ground up, led critical migrations to cloud and containerization, and scaled core services that enabled global delivery of thousands of Bible translations. Known for translating complex domain problems (like versification and synchronized audio) into reliable, production-ready systems, he combines hands-on engineering with strategic advisory work to CTO-level leadership. A committed mentor, he has grown small teams into lasting technical leaders and codified system knowledge through comprehensive architecture cataloging. Based in Edmond, Oklahoma, he pairs aerospace-era rigor from Boeing with product-focused delivery to balance reliability, scalability, and user impact.
