Top SchoolChris Zelazo is a founding engineer and multidisciplinary designer with 11 years of experience turning 0→1 product ideas into production-ready apps across the Apple ecosystem. Based in San Francisco, he’s built and shipped iOS, iPadOS, visionOS, and macOS products as a solo founding engineer at OpenStudio and previously led design and front-end systems as a co-founder at Gatsby Labs. His background spans consumer-scale teams at Pinterest—where he built design tooling, motion prototyping, and Figma integrations—and creative technologist work that blends data visualization with polished iOS experiences. Chris is comfortable switching between design, prototyping, architecture, and deployment, and currently focuses on design tooling at Layer, reflecting a rare mix of product design sensibility and hands-on native engineering. Notably, he prototypes fast and iterates in the Apple ecosystem end-to-end, often shipping complete cross-device suites as very small teams.
