Summary
👤
SeniorChrispine Chiedo is a software engineer and engineering manager based in Nairobi with a decade of experience building cloud-native, microservices systems and developer curricula. He has blended hands-on delivery—working with Java, Spring Boot/Cloud, Kubernetes and messaging systems on production insurance platforms—with roles in technical content and curriculum leadership at Microsoft and Andela. Currently at BV Labs and freelancing, he pursues Rust and compiler work in personal projects and contributes to open-source, signaling a strong interest in low-level tooling beyond his enterprise stack. He has led hiring and assessment efforts, designed company-wide engineering frameworks, and mentored teams, demonstrating rare crossover skills in engineering enablement and individual contributor excellence. His background in electrical and computer engineering combined with an MSc in Computer Science underpins a systems-first approach to software design. Quietly, he also bridges academia and industry—having taught and revamped engineering programs—bringing pedagogical rigor to team development and documentation.
