Top SchoolChristiaan Vermeulen is a DevOps and Cloud Native principal engineer with 10+ years of experience building programmable infrastructure, self-service developer platforms, and Kubernetes Operators that run everything from high-throughput retail workloads to tiny static frontends. He began his career in PABX support and full‑stack development, which informs a pragmatic approach to platform design and developer enablement. Christiaan has led teams and influenced product and hiring strategy at Container Solutions and Picsart, delivering chaos engineering, canary/blue-green deployments, multi-region clustering and Cluster API solutions. He’s built tooling to simplify serverless deployments and make CloudWatch logs searchable, and has applied GEO mapping APIs commercially across South Africa and the UK. Based in the UK and transitioning from South African roots, he prefers Vim and spaces, enjoys farming and DIY, and is intentionally closing gaps in his Azure and networking skills.
