Christian Zangl
Chief Architect at Smart Bits Intelligent Solutions GmbH
Austria
Summary
🤩
RockstarChristian Zangl is a Chief Architect based in Austria with 13 years of hands-on software engineering and leadership experience, currently guiding architecture and delivery at Smart Bits Intelligent Solutions. He combines deep back-end expertise—evident from contributions to terminal file managers like lf and ranger where he implemented file-operation features and performance fixes—with pragmatic front-end sensibilities shown in UI work on Hjson. His background as a long-tenured R&D unit manager reflects strong technical stewardship and the ability to turn low-level improvements into reliable product behavior. Christian is comfortable working across the stack and in constrained environments (console tooling), where thoughtful UX and robust conflict-handling matter most. A subtle but telling detail: his GitHub bio quip ("My backslash escaped!") hints at a developer who pays attention to small, often overlooked quirks in tooling and interfaces.
