Summary
👤
SeniorChristoffer Dall is a senior principal engineer and Architect at Arm with over a decade of experience focused on operating systems, virtualization, security, and computer architecture. He is the original author of KVM support for the Arm architecture in the Linux kernel and has led virtualization efforts at Linaro, bringing both research rigor and production-grade engineering to large-scale platform projects. With a strong academic background and multiple scientific publications, he combines deep theoretical insight with practical implementation, particularly across mobile and cloud virtualization stacks. A seasoned public speaker and industry expert, he frequently translates complex architecture trade-offs into clear guidance for engineering teams and standards bodies. Based in Copenhagen, he balances long-term platform thinking with hands-on kernel development, a combination that has shaped foundational virtualization capabilities on Arm. Colleagues know him for turning academic ideas into widely used kernel features and for maintaining a pragmatic focus on security and performance.
