Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolChristopher Obando is a Software Engineer II at Microsoft with seven years of professional experience building performant front-end and back-end systems using React/Preact, Java, and Python. He has driven tangible product improvements—modernizing legacy JavaScript to Preact to cut page load times and bundle size, owning the Microsoft Lists home page, and contributing Preact work to OneDrive’s MyFiles tab. Comfortable across the stack, he pairs production-focused UI craftsmanship (translating complex Figma designs) with backend reliability work such as API monitoring, automated Puppeteer tests, and rollout safeguards. His background in electrical engineering and an exchange in computer science inform a systems-minded approach to accessibility-driven design and fast-paced Agile delivery. Notably, he has also built full-stack mobile experiences with React Native and real-time GraphQL subscriptions, blending user-facing polish with scalable engineering discipline.
