Cody Born is an engineering manager with a decade of experience building blockchain and distributed systems, currently leading Trading Execution and Ecosystem Engineering at Uniswap Labs. He has deep Ethereum expertise since 2017 and a track record of productizing crypto primitives—from architecting Celo identity and relay services to launching a Bitcoin-energy–backed stablecoin experiment at LED Labs. Prior to crypto, he built large-scale, adversarial ML systems and production pipelines at Microsoft, saving significant costs and hardening account protection at internet scale. Cody blends hands-on protocol and systems engineering with people leadership, mentoring teams to tackle hard, security-sensitive problems. He is comfortable navigating both applied cryptography and pragmatic product delivery, and has repeatedly turned research ideas into incentivized testnets and production services. Based in the United States with a BS in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego, he brings an entrepreneurial mindset to open protocol design and execution.
