Top SchoolCody Mercer is a junior Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Arlington transitioning strong customer-facing leadership into software engineering. With 11 years of work experience managing teams in fast-paced retail environments, he pairs discipline in operations and people management with hands-on skills in C, JavaScript, Java, Python, C++, HTML, and data structures. He has led software projects that span full-stack development and algorithmic problem solving, and is actively seeking Summer 2025 internships to apply and expand those skills. Cody’s retail leadership roles required quick decision-making and process improvements—experience he leverages to ship pragmatic, user-focused code. Comfortable learning new technologies, he brings both a practical business mindset from an associate degree in Business Administration and growing technical depth from his CS studies.
