Summary
👤
SeniorCollin Overbay is a senior software leader and Staff-level engineer with nine years of industry experience building full-stack web applications and applied ML for search and recommendation systems. Currently Chief (AI) Agent Officer at Quome after leading AI and ads initiatives at Indeed, he has driven production vector search, A/B experimentation, and recommendation pipelines that materially improved ad and job matching metrics. He is fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (Node, React), Java (Spring), and modern agent/LLM tooling like LangChain/LangGraph, with additional systems experience in Go, C++, Kafka, and Kubernetes. A CompSci and Physics graduate based in San Francisco, Collin pairs a practical product mindset with research curiosity—equally comfortable optimizing low-latency ML workloads and exploring quantum computing concepts. Notably, he helped scale sponsored job recommendations to account for a significant share of Indeed’s served matches, showing an ability to translate models into business impact.
