Top SchoolCraig Bender is a Distinguished Field Software Engineer with over two decades of experience spanning data center operations, VDI/SBC, product management, and software-defined storage. He has driven technical strategy and product launches at Canonical, Atlantis Computing, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems, combining hands-on engineering with customer-facing evangelism and trusted-advisor relationships. A recognized expert in automation and orchestration whose practices predate mainstream cloud, he helped engineer early hyper-converged and virtual desktop solutions and shifted Sun Ray into the Windows terminal market. Based in Henderson, Nevada, Craig blends deep technical craft with strong communication skills and a talent for building communities that accelerate product adoption. An unusual detail: his career began in casino systems engineering, where rapid promotions forged his operational rigor and customer-first approach.
