Top SchoolCristian Carrillo is a Technical Lead with nine years of experience driving migrations from monoliths to microservices and building event-driven systems across fintech and logistics startups. He combines hands-on backend expertise in NestJS, Kafka, AWS, and Pulumi with a pragmatic approach to clean architecture, observability, and cost optimization. Across roles at Xepelin, Chiper and iVoy he has delivered production-ready microservices, cut third-party geocoding costs dramatically, and improved integration sync times from hours to under an hour. He is comfortable owning both architecture and execution—designing ACL and payment services, authoring shared libraries, and creating developer training to raise team competency. Based in Cali, Colombia, he pairs strong client-facing communication with experience in Terraform/Pulumi IaC and Datadog-driven monitoring. Motivated by continuous learning, Cristian often focuses on practical efficiency gains that reveal savings and reliability improvements not obvious from high-level roadmaps.
