Top SchoolCristóbal Rubio is an IoT engineer with a decade of hands-on experience turning concepts into deployed products, from oceanic telemetry systems to smart vending machines. He architects end-to-end solutions that bridge embedded firmware, edge connectivity, cloud integration and user-facing apps, and has led company-wide digital transformations and DevOps cultural shifts. As CTO and VP of Engineering he single-handedly delivered fielded hardware fleets and modernized legacy industrial HMIs, while at CoreMarine he built telemetry and tracking systems for harsh maritime environments. A maker at heart, he co-founded La Jaquería, organizes hackathons, and regularly gives workshops on open hardware and IoT—bringing community-driven practice into professional projects. Practical, multidisciplinary, and routine-driven, he balances rapid prototyping with production-ready optimization to reduce time-to-market. Based in Almería, Spain, he pairs telecom engineering fundamentals with a pragmatic product focus that thrives in constrained, real-world conditions.
