Senior🎓
Top SchoolCurtis Ovard is a pragmatic Software Engineer II with 12 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Ruby on Rails SaaS applications for healthcare, crowdfunding, and manufacturing customers. He excels at backend engineering, automation, and migrations—most notably saving operations teams 1,000+ hours per month by designing and deploying an automated verification engine and migrating dozens of apps and pipelines between VCS and CI systems. Comfortable across the full stack, Curtis improves performance with careful ActiveRecord/Arel work, builds integrations and APIs, and has shipped hundreds of features and bug fixes in production. He’s adaptable to team needs—shifting to Python when required—and brings disciplined engineering practices like gitflow, CI pipelines, and review policies to keep codebases healthy. Based in South Jordan, Utah, he pairs a no-nonsense delivery focus with a wry sense of humor (GitHub bio: "All your base are belong to us").
